October Newsletter
Congratulations to Addison Carrancejie, our September Student of the Month!

Hurricane Sally Update
We have power!!! We will be open for classes Tuesday Sept. 22nd!!!
We are going to be offering a make-up day for Monday (Sept. 21) on Friday (Sept. 25). Everything would be at the normal Monday time, just on Friday.
We normally don’t offer make up classes for storm cancellations, however we definitely didn’t expect to be out the whole week! For those who missed classes last week, we are going to let anyone who would like to make up last weeks classes do so. You will be able to take your dancer to another class of equal or lower level, along with their normal class. We will allow this until the end of September for you to make-up your missing classes. Please just let Mrs. Emily at the Front Desk know what classes you will be coming to make-up so that we can be prepared. Classes that normally occur on Friday will be offered on Saturday morning 10am-1pm.
We hope everyone is doing well! We look forward to seeing you all soon!

LaBelle Academy
Due to multiple requests, the Labelle Academy of the Arts has extended registration for the academic only portion of our program. Spots for the Arts program are now full, but there are a few spots open for students that wish to participate in FLVS within a group of other students. We will close enrollment at 20 students to stay within social distancing measures, so sign up now while space is available.
Students will meet at the Academy from 8 am-12 noon, Monday through Thursday, with extended hours available for an additional fee. There is a $75 non-refundable registration fee and tuition is $300 a month. There is a one-time $450 technology fee which will cover the cost of a brand-new HP laptop to be used for all their online classes and assignments. Students will use these laptops to work online at the Academy and have the ability to bring them home to finish any unfinished assignments. Students will be able to enjoy the benefit of a shortened school day while also having the flexibility to request absences for travel, appointments, and important family events. There will be two instructors on staff to answer any questions your child may have regarding their studies and help them understand course concepts in classes as needed. The Academic Director will facilitate your child’s education and be the liaison between your child and their teachers in the FLVS program. They will create a student profile and help the student create a schedule that will ensure they are on the path to completing all credits needed for graduation. Individual pace sheets will be given to each student daily to help them manage their studies and meet weekly goals to keep them on track to completing their courses.
Parents will have full access to their child's grades and progress online throughout the year. Since the students will be working under FLVS, you can be confident all their credits will fall within the guidelines set by the State of Florida. This will make the transition back into the public school system easy if your child should choose to return once the school system returns to its normal routine.
Please contact Jeannie Beasley at jeannie@labelleperformingarts.com if you are interested in registering.
